DeliverIt
Last-mile delivery that works offline.
DeliverIt is an offline-first delivery management platform for last-mile logistics operators. It gives drivers a mobile app that works without internet, optimises multi-stop routes automatically, and captures digital proof of delivery — while giving dispatchers a live web dashboard to monitor their entire fleet in real time. Built as a developer on the project.

The Problem We Solved
A regional logistics operator was running 50+ drivers across semi-urban delivery zones where mobile data coverage was inconsistent. Drivers were navigating with WhatsApp screenshots of addresses, marking deliveries as 'done' in a paper logbook, and calling the dispatcher when they got lost. Failed deliveries — where no one was home or the address was wrong — were running at 22%, and the operations team had no way to know until drivers returned to the depot at the end of the day. Re-delivery attempts were eating into margins.

What We Built
We built DeliverIt as an offline-first React Native app using SQLite as the local data store. Each driver's full delivery manifest — addresses, contact numbers, delivery notes, and route order — is downloaded at shift start. Route optimisation runs on-device using a modified nearest-neighbour algorithm against the Mapbox Directions API, recalculating if a delivery is skipped. Proof of delivery captures a photo and e-signature, stored locally and synced to AWS S3 via Supabase when connectivity returns. The dispatcher dashboard — a Next.js web app — receives live location pings via Firebase Cloud Messaging when drivers are online, showing each driver's position, completed stops, and failed attempts on a live map.
What We Achieved
38% reduction in failed deliveries within 60 days of launch
Full offline functionality — drivers complete shifts with zero connectivity and sync on return
Route optimisation cutting average driving time per shift by 18%
Digital proof of delivery eliminating disputes with end customers
Dispatcher dashboard giving real-time visibility across 50+ drivers simultaneously
